Care Instructions for various gemstones:

Aquamarine: Sensitive to bright lights. Use lightly soapy water and a soft brush Never dip the piece in water for too long. Use a soft cloth to dry

Diamond Jewelry: Use lightly soapy water And a soft brush Never dip the piece in water for too long. Use a soft cloth to dry

Emerald: Use lightly soapy water And a soft brush Never dip the piece in water for too long. Use a soft cloth to dry

Garnet: Use lightly soapy water And a soft brush. Rinse after cleaning. Never dip the piece in water for too long. Use a soft cloth to dry

Peridot: Use lightly soapy water And a soft brush Never dip the piece in water for too long. Use a soft cloth to dry

Ruby and Sapphire: Use lightly soapy water And a soft brush Never dip the piece in water for too long. Use a soft cloth to dry

Spinel: Use lightly soapy water And a soft brush Never dip the piece in water for too long. Use a soft cloth to dry

Topaz: Use lightly soapy water And a soft brush Never dip the piece in water for too long. Use a soft cloth to dry

Tourmaline: Use lightly soapy water And a soft brush Never dip the piece in water for too long. Use a soft cloth to dry

Turquoise: Clean with a soft damp cloth Then air dry Do not rub the stone or use force Do not touch with metal cleaners

Coral: Do not use a brush or any other hard material. Gently wipe coral with a Soft,clean, cool damp cloth

Cubic Zirconia: Use lightly soapy water And a soft brush Never dip the piece in water for too long. Use a soft cloth to dry

Iolite: Use lightly soapy water And a soft brush Never dip the piece in water for too long. Use a soft cloth to dry

Lapis Lazuli: Do not soak in water Clean with a soft damp cloth.

Quartz: Includes Amethyst, Rose Quartz, Citrine, tiger’s eye, Rutilated quartz, Rock crystal Amethyst and Rose quartz are sensitive to bright light Do not soak in water Clean with warm, lightly soapy water. Rinse with warm water and pat dry With a soft cloth

Carnelian/Quartz: Use lightly soapy water And a soft brush Never dip the piece in water for too long. Use a soft cloth to dry

Onyx: Use lightly soapy water And a soft brush Never dip the piece in water for too long. Use a soft cloth to dry

Mixed Colored Stone Jewelry: Clean the metal with a metal polishing cloth Clean the stone with a soft cloth

Mixed Colored Stone and Diamond Jewelry: Gold and Silver jewelry can be washed with lightly soapy water. Pat dry lightly and let it air dry. You can also use a polishing cloth on the metal. This is good for jewelry with stones as well, except for Lapis and Turquoise which should be cleaned with a damp cloth. Coral should be cleaned with a soft cloth only.
